Story[]
I slip my slippers off my feet,
And tuck myself between my sheets,
And as I lay there in my bed,
A little thought comes to my head.
"Where do slippers sleep?"
Do they sleep by my sneakers/trainers on the floor?
Or do they sleep behind the closet/wardrobe door?
Do they sleep next to the big toy box?
Or in my drawer, next to my socks?
Do they sleep outside or in the hall?
Or do slippers even sleep at all?
And then I looked under my bed,
And then I couldn't believe what my slippers said.
"Goodnight," said one. "Sleep well tonight."
The other smiled, her eyes shut tight.
And slowly, the sleepy slippers slipped into sleep.
