The Spice Family

The Spice Family in the original series (from the October 2001 issue of Nick Jr. Magazine's Nick Jr. Noodle) The Spice Family are a family of condiment dispensers who live in the kitchen, each named after the type of spice/seasoning they contain. Until Sage and Ginger were born and introduced, they were also known as The Shakers. Most of them are tabletop shakers, but Sage and Ginger are bottles including cork caps. The Spice Family members are all just spice containers, not the actual spices. They can contain whatever spice they want at any time; they just each choose to have a different one. Family members Mr. Salt is the father figure. Mrs. Pepper is the mother figure. Paprika is Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper's daughter. Cinnamon is Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper's son. Ginger is the newborn daughter and Sage's twin. Sage is the newborn son and Ginger's twin. Grandma Cayenne is the maternal grandmother of Paprika and Cinnamon. The main family in Blue's Clues & You!
