- This episode was surprisingly produced before Can You Help?. These episodes were filmed in around late 2001, before Steve's episodes even finished airing.
- Unlike other recent episodes where the clues magically appear and talk, Joe is actually shown drawing the clues in this episode, Let's Write!, and Magenta's Messages, but they do not talk.
- They were produced before talking clues have started production.

- Some sources incorrectly categorize this episode as being from late season 4, but it actually belongs to season 5.
- When Joe stood up from the floor holding the tape, the blanket on the bed switched from the original one to a checkered blanket.
- Once more, Blue consumes chocolate, despite the fact that chocolate is toxic to dogs even in large quantities. This also applies to Magenta, who is trying chocolate for the first time.
