He appears three times in each episode, usually behind something or in a location no viewer would look. The snail does not interact with any other character in the series except for in Blues Big movie, in which she rolls on screen riding a skateboard singing along with the other characters.
Looks
The snail is mostly pink.He has black antennae and black eyes. His shell is the same shade of pink than the rest of his body, though the swirl design on his shell is somewhat darker than his shell and body.

Snail has appeared in every episode of Blue's Clues. His first appearance was in Blue Prints. His last appearance was in Bluestock. He did not appear in the series' epilogue, Behind the Clues: 10 Years With Blue, unlike most characters. He also appeared in What Does Blue Want To Do With Her Picture?. He was first mentioned in Magenta Comes Over.
