Trivia[]

  • When the sun sang the song himself (though Steve/Josh said the part about Earth), "and" was only used before Pluto.
  • Notes from this song were also heard while Blue and Steve explored space again in "Blue's Big Pajama Party"
  • This song was made into a toy named Skidoo N' Learn Solar System.
  • In "Bluestock" (original version), Tickety sang a version of this song with Toni Braxton, who is one of the three actors.
    • In its remake, the song is performed again, with the Sun replacing Toni Braxton.
  • In Blue's Clues 10th Anniversary (Blue's Biggest Hits), this song was simply called "Planets".
    • In this version (which was also among the songs in Blue's Treasure Hunt), the sun first sang his solo version of the song (including Steve's line about earth), then he and Steve sang it together. After the song's instrumental version, both song versions are repeated.
    • The first verse where the Sun sings with an echo from Sun to Pluto from Blue's Treasure Hunt 1999 PC & Blue's Clues 10th Anniversary Blue's Biggest Hits 2006 CD
      • The version that appeared in Blue's Treasure Hunt was only the first part of the song before the instrumental version.
      • Steve and the sun taking turns singing this song without "We wanted to name the planets and now we named them all" was in the "Songs We've Sung" clip shown on "100th Episode Celebration".
      • After this clip show, the song reminded Steve that he had to get back to college.
  • This song is in C major.
  • This song received a remake for "Science with Blue". The lyrics are unchanged, but with the addition for Pluto being a dwarf planet which at the time of the airing of the original episode was a planet and in 2006, Pluto wasn't called a planet anymore. The music is evidenced on a vlog on the Nick Jr. YouTube channel.
    • However, when Josh sang the song with the viewers the second time, parts of the original and new music were used.
    • The solo and duet versions have slightly different music.
    • This version was featured in the Face's Music Party episode "Space".
