  • In Adventures in Art, Steve made a picture of Blue, who made a picture of a hill, trees, the sun, and birds. This time, Blue already made art and lost it and needed to find it and Orange Kitten, Purple Kangaroo, and Periwinkle were not here.
  • This marks the twenty-seventh time in the franchise where a flower was seen. The others being What Does Blue Need? when Blue was helping Shovel and Pail plant flowers and Blue dug a hole, The Grow Show and Growing with Blue when planting a garden was the answer to Blue’s Clues when Blue left three clues on dirt, a watering can and seeds, Blue’s Birthday when Shovel and Pail got flowers for Blue, Blue's Sad Day when Green Puppy arrived and bought a flower for Blue to say she was sorry for knocking Blue’s blocks over, The Lost Episode! and Blue's Play when flowers were drawn, What Did Blue See? when Steve and Squirrel saw an inchworm looking up at a flower from below and it looked really tall, Nurture! when at the beginning of the episode, Steve and Blue watered the green and blue flowers, Signs when Pail and Steve went over a bridge and saw that Shovel picked flowers for Pail, Nature when Steve and Blue helped Mr. Salt and Paprika make a flower bouquet for Mrs. Pepper and when Windy moved the flowers from the Winter Location to the Spring Location, Spring is Here! when Josh got his notebook from Sidetable Drawer from a flower, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper Day when in a photo album there was a picture of Mr. Salt planting flowers, Let's Plant when Steve and Blue learned about flowers, plants and trees, The Big Book About Us when Blue put birds in her page, Contraptions! when Mr. Salt made a flower contraption, Numbers Everywhere! when Tickety Tock put a 3 on “3” flowers and Blue’s favorite number was 100, which was the answer to Blue’s Clues (100), when Blue left three clues on a 0, a 1, and another 0, and the 100 was put on “100” flowers, Blue's Show and Tell Surprise when Blue made Luna the Unicorn, a duck and a flower, Blue's Snowy Day Surprise when Josh and Blue saw ice flowers, Feelin' Filipino when there were flower decorations, Magenta's Thank You Day Surprise when there were Miranda’s fantasy on how she met Magenta, and Knights of the Snack Table when there were flowers around the neighborhood.
  • This marks the seventeenth time where a bird was seen. The others being Pretend Time when Steve and Blue looked for different clouds in the sky with birds, What Did Blue See? when Steve and Squirrel saw Bird on a bridge looking below towards some fish and when a bird's nest was the answer to Blue’s Clues when Blue left three clues on sticks, a tree, and eggs, Draw Along with Blue when Steve drew a bird in a nest, Nature when Sidetable Drawer was bird watching, Periwinkle Misses His Friend when Steve, Blue and Periwinkle played the Hop Tweet Game and the jumped when they heard a bird tweet, Blue's Big Musical when Steve sung songs and birds lit up to join in, Prehistoric Blue when Shovel mistook a bird for a pterodactyl/archaeopteryx and the same bird came back and said that archaeopteryx was known as a bird’s great, great grandchild, Blue's Book Nook when Periwinkle found a sparrow, The Big Book About Us when Blue put birds in her page, The Snack Chart when Joe and Blue helped Shovel and Pail find out whether they will see birds and squirrels the most and they saw birds the most, Patience and Contraptions! when birds were drawn, Joe's Surprise Party, Up, Down, All Around!, Blue Takes You to School, Magenta's Messages, and Look Carefully... when Joe and Blue encountered Baby Bird the same with Patience and Contraptions!, Blue's Treasure of Clue Lagoon when a bird was in a riddle, and Knights of the Snack Table when a blue and red bird were on a tree.
  • Josh has a list of things like Steve and Joe did in Pool Party when Steve and Blue made a list of everyone to invite to the pool party and they put Sidetable Drawer, Tickety Tock, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Paprika, Slippery Soap, Mailbox, Shovel and Pail, in which Josh had them but with only Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper and Paprika were not on his list, and when they said, “Yes,” Sidetable Drawer said, “Oh I just love pool parties,”, Tickety Tock said, “Yeah. Yeah. I’ll be there with bells on,” and just to prove it, Tickety Tock rang her alarm bells with pride, then as Steve went to invite Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, and Paprika to the pool party, he saw they were making ice cream sundaes with bowls, ice cream itself, bananas, whipped cream, sprinkles, and spoons. As they made 3 more, ice cream itself, sprinkles, and bananas were missing and when they were invited, Mr. Salt said, “But of course,” and then Steve went to invite Slippery Soap, who beamed and said, “Whoa! A pool party?!? Cool. I’ll see you there,” then as Steve was about to tell Mailbox, he already found out because Tickety Tock told Mailbox, who said, “You’re having a pool party and you want me to come,” then Steve and Blue played a matching card game with Joker and found a king of stripes, Jack of swirls, Ace of swirls, queen of polka dots, and Jack of polka dots, and then Blue decided to invite Shovel and Pail, who probably said, “A pool party? Wow. We’ll see you there, Blue,” and Steve and Blue forgot to invite Magenta, who was the answer to Blue’s Clues (Magenta), when Blue left three clues on Blue’s School, a puppy, and a purplish pinkish color and The Scavenger Hunt when Joe, Blue and Magenta had a scavenger hunt list of things and there were 3 clues, a tape player, a tape cassette, 2 eggs, 4 paper holders, 10 chocolate chips, a red oval, a white squiggly line and a red triangle and they put the tape cassette in the tape player and made music, which had the first clue (music), helped Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper make cupcakes by finding the same number of eggs, paper holders, and chocolate chips and they were put together to make cupcakes, which was the second clue (cupcakes), and then skidooed into the Felt Frame to get the red oval, white squiggly line, and red triangle and put them together to make a balloon, which was the third clue (a balloon), and a party was the answer to Blue’s Clues when Blue left three clues on music, cupcakes, and a balloon, which was what the things they found were put together to get the 3 clues. Only Josh’s list has Shovel and Pail, Paprika, without Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Cinnamon, Sage and Ginger, Blue. Sidetable Drawer, Slippery Soap, Tickety Tock, and Mailbox.
  • In Art Appreciation, Shovel and Pail made a clay sculpture of a dog. But this time they made a collage of the Thinking Chair even though in Blue's Play, Steve and Blue skiddoed into Blue’s collage of the Funny Farm and even though in Inventions when the Thinking Chair was drawn and it was the answer to Blue’s Clues in Hide and Seek with Blue when Blue left three clues on the color red, a chair, and a swirl.
  • Paprika is making a sculpture made of food like she, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper did in Art Appreciation, but only Paprika is using popcorn squares, pretzel sticks and raisins instead of fruits and vegetables. And it was called Venus De Mi-Lunch, which is a reference of Venus De Milo. And Mr. Salt is a security guard.
  • This is the third time where popcorn was seen. The first two being Weight and Balance when Steve, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Paprika and Scale weighed strawberries and popcorn and the strawberries weighed more than the popcorn and What's That Sound? when Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper and Paprika were having popcorn while watching a movie.
  • This is the third time where raisins were seen. The first two being What Is Blue Afraid Of? when Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper’s second picture was a raisin and thought it was purple grapes and chocolate at first and Blue Is Frustrated when Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper made celery with peanut butter, raisins and plastic wrap.
  • Blue losing her masterpiece is similar to what happened in The Lost Episode! when Steve made a puppet at first and lost it and found it in the cushion of the Thinking Chair, then he lost a feather duster and found it in his back pocket, then Shovel and Pail lost their airplane, car, and sailboat and went back to the grass, hill, and pool, then Steve lost his notebook and went to find it in the kitchen by the flowers, Mailbox lost the letter and found it on the pathway, then Steve and Blue skiddoed into a board game to help Felix get to school. On the way, Felix had to put his bicycle in the garage because it might rain and left his lunchbox behind, then as Felix went to return his book to the library, he left his backpack behind, and then when he swung on the swing, his hat fell off. When they got to school, Felix and Steve went back to the swing, library, and garage to retrieve Felix’s things and arrived back to school on time, and Blue lost her backpack and left it outside in the backyard, which was the answer to Blue’s Clues (outside in the backyard), when Blue left three clues on flowers, grass, and a tree, and Shovel, Pail and Felix arrived to help Blue find her backpack and it was by a tree and inside was a Paper Plate Steve, and the surprise for the Viewer Steve, Blue, the Paper Plate Steve and Puppet singing The So Long Song. And together, they went back to where they were to find their things.
  • In Art Appreciation when Steve cleaned up the Pawprint, he painted the toes and the bottom rainbow, put glitter on it and popped it with a feather. But this time, the Pawprint went on a frame and became art anyway like what happened in Blue's Big Holiday when after cleaning the Pawprint, Steve saw it wanted to be in the Holiday Quilt.
  • In Art Appreciation, Sidetable Drawer had a tassel on her nose. This time, she had an origami sparrow on her head.
  • This is the eighth time where crayons were seen. The others being Periwinkle Misses His Friend, Joe Gets a Clue, The Big Book About Us and What I Like About Blue when crayons were drawn, Words when Steve had crayons instead of croutons by mistake, The Alphabet Train when Joe, Blue, and Tickety Tock found a crayon for the C box, and Blue's Rainy Day Rainbow when there were crayons by Blue and Slippery Soap’s rainbow drawing.
  • Josh is getting a call on his notebook phone like he did in Meet Josh!, Playdate with Magenta and Mailtime Mystery.
  • Josh’s notebook is drawn as the first clue like how Steve’s notebook was drawn in Draw Along with Blue, Blue's Big Musical and Inventions and it had a clue on the front and it was the first clue and Joe’s notebook was the answer to Blue’s Clues in Joe Gets a Clue when Blue left three clues on paper, a crayon and a spiral. Also like in Draw Along with Blue, Steve drew his notebook with just the spiral and cover and without the Thinking Chair and Josh did the same thing but Steve dropped his notebook but not Josh. This is also the first episode in the reboot not to have the Thinking Chair when Josh draws his notebook.
  • This is the fourth episode where the notebook was a clue. The first three being Draw Along with Blue, Blue's Big Musical, and Inventions.
  • The notebook is making rattle shaking sounds like Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper did in Blue's News and Big News with Blue and the rattles in Blue's First Holiday and The Baby's Here!.
  • Tickety Tock, Slippery Soap and Phaderus made a finger, impressionist and mosaic paintings of fishes in Art Appreciation. But this time, Slippery Soap made a mosaic heart instead of Phaderus making a mosaic painting even though in Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper Day, Blue's Big Baking Show and Magenta's Thank You Day Surprise when hearts were drawn. Also, Slippery Soap made his heart with a rainbow even though in Art Appreciation when Steve painted a rainbow on the Pawprint, The Alphabet Train when Joe found a rainbow for the R box, Blue's Rainy Day Rainbow and Blue's Show and Tell Surprise when Josh and Blue saw Rainbow, Our New Neighbor when Josh and Blue encountered Rainbow Puppy, and Rainbow Puppy's Skidoo Adventure when Josh, Blue and Rainbow Puppy skidooed to Rainbow World and saw Rainbow again, Tickety Tock made a sculpture of a bicycle instead of a finger painting even though a bicycle was the answer to Blue’s Clues in The Trying Game when Blue left three clues on a horn, a basket, and a wheel The Lost Episode! when Felix put his bike in the garage because it might rain, Mechanics! when Steve and Blue helped Bunny/Rabbit on how to make her bike move and she had to petal and Steve thought Bunny/Rabbit had to tell the wheels to go at first, Morning Music when a bicycle was drawn, and Our New Neighbor when one of Periwinkle’s boxes had a picture of a bicycle.
  • Green is mentioned again like in Blue's Birthday and Happy Birthday Blue when the color green was drawn and Joe's Surprise Party when Periwinkle put out green and orange plates and a green was plate came next.

  • Tickety Tock is feeling frustrated like Steve, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Mailbox, Bunny/Rabbit and Blue were in Blue Is Frustrated because Steve was trying to make the picture frame straight but it got crooked a few times and he cleaned the Pawprint in the wrong order until he turned the picture frame slowly and sprayed the Pawprint and cleaned it with a rag afterwards and he dropped and broke his crayon until he took it out slowly and drew the second and third clue with half of the crayon, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper got frustrated because they put a cheese sandwich, peanut butter, raisins, celery and plastic wrap in the wrong order and tried to put the cups at the same time until they put the cheese sandwich, peanut butter, raisins, celery and plastic wrap in the right order and put the cups together, Mailbox was frustrated because he got stuck until he got unstuck, Bunny/Rabbit was frustrated because her teeter-totter of blocks got unbalanced 3 times until she made it balanced, and Blue was frustrated because she couldn’t reach her toothbrush, which was the answer to Blue’s Clues (Blue couldn’t reach her toothbrush), when Blue left three clues on a sink, water, and a toothbrush. And together, they all stopped, breathed, and thought.

  • Slippery Soap and Tickety Tock finding out that green buttons and wheels were missing is similar to what happened What Time Is It for Blue? when Steve and Blue were putting things away and some of the things were missing, which were Blue’s pajamas, Blue’s sneakers, Blue’s slippers, and a bear stuffed animal, Mailbox's Birthday when Steve and Blue helped Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper with Mailbox’s birthday cake with sprinkle patterns and one of the sprinkles was missing, which were a green star, pink circle, and yellow diamond, What Does Blue Want to Make? when Steve helped Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper with a macaroni picture frame and 2 pieces of macaroni were missing, which were a yellow wagon wheel and blue macaroni, Blue's Birthday and Happy Birthday Blue when Steve and Josh saw that sprinkles were missing from cupcakes and saw that a light blue balloon and napkin were missing, which was omitted from the remake, Pool Party when Steve helped Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper make ice cream sundaes with bowls, ice cream, bananas, whipped cream, sprinkles and spoons and as they made 3 more, one of the things was missing; first ice cream, then sprinkles, and then bananas, Can You Help? when Joe and Blue helped Gingerbread Boy with button patterns and one of them was missing, which was a green square, and Mailtime Mystery when Slippery Soap, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper saw their letters were missing a stamp, the address, and who it’s for.

  • Josh saw the second clue on the color blue and he said, “My favorite color,” like Steve did in Blue's Birthday when he saw the first clue on the color green but in Happy Birthday Blue when Josh saw the first clue on the color green, he didn’t say, “my favorite color,” like Steve did because blue is Josh’s favorite color and green is Steve’s favorite color.

Also, Josh’s notebook and the color blue being drawn is similar to what happened in Draw Along with Blue when Steve’s notebook and green stripes were drawn because green was Steve’s favorite color and blue was Josh’s favorite color, only in Draw Along with Blue, the third clue was a person instead of Steve’s guitar.
  • This marks the eleventh time where the host was drawn or being the answer to Blue’s Clues. The others being Magenta Comes Over, Playdate with Magenta, What Is Blue Trying to Do?, Draw Along with Blue, Blue Goes to the Doctor, Let's Write!, Joe's Clues, Sleepy Singalong with Blue, Feelin' Filipino and Joshini The Amazing.
  • Josh had a wrong answer for himself like he and Steve did in Magenta Comes Over and Playdate with Magenta when they thought Blue wanted Steve and Josh to make the camera/phone smile and Sleepy Singalong with Blue when Josh thought Blue wanted a star that looks like him playing his guitar and like how he had a wrong answer for Lola in Blue's Big Baking Show when Josh thought it was a heart that wears glasses and a blue striped scarf.

The first six being Blue Wants to Play a Song Game when The Itsy Bitsy Spider was the answer to Blue’s Clues when Blue left three clues on a sun, rain, and a spider and when Steve danced to the rhythm of rain with Crabs, What Is Blue Afraid Of? when Steve, Blue, and Boo heard thunder and rain outside, What Does Blue Want to Do on a Rainy Day? when Steve and Blue helped Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper and Paprika with a water xylophone and skidooed into a farm to help a chick, cow and frog find their singing partners, who were another chick, a sheep, and a pig, and Blue wanted to have a marching band parade, which was the answer to Blue’s Clues (a marching band parade), when Blue left three clues on pot lids, a drum and a marching toy What's That Sound? when a thunderstorm was the answer to Blue’s Clues when Blue left three clues on drops of water, a cloud, and a sound button with a booming sound, Draw Along with Blue when Steve drew rain as part of Chalk Girl’s story, Stormy Weather when it rained at first and Steve and Blue sung a song with a puddle drop on how rain works, and Blue's Rainy Day Rainbow when Josh made the Pawprint play in the rain, Sidetable Drawer had a rainy day notebook with an umbrella on it, Mailbox wore a rain hat, then Josh picked rainy clothing like rubber boots, waterproof jacket (raincoat), and an umbrella and Josh and Blue skiddoed into a picture to talk to Rainbow, who sung Here Comes a Rainbow, to make her see Slippery Soap, but Rainbow couldn’t and she taught Josh and Blue on how to see a rainbow and they needed “raindrops, sunlight, and refraction,” and Blue wanted to splash in puddles, which was the answer to Blue’s Clues (splash in puddles), when Blue left three clues on outside, rain boots, and a splashing motion was drawn and Rainbow showed up anyway.
