Trivia
  +
*In this episode, Blue is shown on-screen, placing her pawprint on every clue. This is largely because the focus is on Blue for most of the episode anyway, while Joe is busy playing with stuffed duck, Boris.
  +
*This episode served as a springboard to introduce Polka Dots, who was introduced as a living puppet character in Blue's Room and the Blue's Room segments starting with "The Legend of the Blue Puppy". Polka Dots was first seen in "Bedtime Business."
  +
**In general, episodes that are called "Meet (character's name)!" are usually the debut of a new character. However, Polka Dots was seen before this episode premiered.
  +
*Beginning with this episode, the format of showing one episode at the start of the week and then showing continuous repeats to reinforce the concepts is officially abandoned.
  +
*This episode appeared in Nickelodeon listings as "Polka Dots," but the title pennant at the ending of the intro read "Meet Polka Dots!".
  +
*In the Mailtime Segment, Joe quacked the "Mailtime" song and the last line of the theme song and The So Long Song, instead of singing the lyrics, like Boris.
  +
*This is similar to Steve clucking like a chicken during the "Mailtime" song in Animal Behavior.
  +
*In this episode, Slippery, Tickety, and Periwinkle referred to Polka Dots as her just like Joe did in "Blue Goes to the Doctor".
  +
*The notebook friend is decorated similar to the Viewer art from "Art Appreciation".
  +
**Sidetable used her original voice tone for Notebook Friend when she was playing with it.
  +
*This is Joe's version of "Puppets" and "Imagine Nation".
  +
**Therefore in all those episodes the 2nd clue was found in the living room.
  +
*This episode was on Nick Jr. Favorites Vol. 5 DVD. In that release, the Nickelodeon logo (W/2007 copyright info) is added after the Nick Jr. Productions logo.
  +
*There was no Blue Skidoo in this episode, but Periwinkle imagines that in his imagination in his cardboard box home.
  +
*At the end of the video letter, the boy and his stuffed monkey Buddy were reading the book Helen's Hiding Place from "Blue's Book Nook".
  +
*After "Bye, Joe!", the end of the "We Are Looking for Blue's Clues" melody does not play.
  +
*This is the third episode for the clues to talk and sing.
  +
*This is the fifth episode where all three clues are found in the living room. The others are "What Story Does Blue Want to Play?", "What Does Blue Want to Do with Her Picture?," "Blue's Play," and "A Surprise Guest."
  +
*Joe wears an orange squared shirt in this episode.
  +
*This episode aired 1 Week after the show's 7th Anniversary.
  +
*This is the only episode in which Joe does not say the answer in the thinking chair.
  +
*This is the second time outer space is played. This time it's played by Blue and Polka Dots, and for the first time, it was played by Blue and Steve in "Pretend Time", when they pretend to be astronauts and fly toward the stars.
  +
*Coincidentally, during the short song at the end of Thinking Time, there are a total of eight planets, including the third Talking Clue, if counted as another planet when Blue's rocket lands. That's the amount of real planets in the solar system.
  +
*If going by broadcast order, the Talking Clues take a break after this episode. They will return in Body Language.
  +
*Jack and Julia from Tickety's Favorite Nursery Rhyme appear in this episode.
  +
*In this episode, Notebook Friend asks for clues by saying "Please!" with Joe, who wishes he could say "Coming right up!".
  +
*After the clues say, "Now that we're three, what will we be?", Joe does not say, "Hey, Notebook Friend, guess what?" and Notebook Friend does not say, "What, Joe, what?".
  +
*In this episode, Notebook Friend joins Joe for Blue's Clues and Boris joins him for breaks.
