Marlee is a minor character. She is deaf, but speaks using American Sign Language, just like Jane's friend Carly. She has only made three appearances in the show. The character has read many books and portrayed as a fictional version of the actress, Marlee Matlin.

Marlee has made three appearances; the episodes were Blue's Book Nook, Our Neighborhood Festival and made a guest appearance in the Video Letter segment from Blue's Storytime with Camila.

- Marlee appeared on the VHS All Kinds of Signs in short segments alongside Steve while teaching him ASL.
- Marlee Matlin was a host and apart of for the Blue's Clues Live! show back in 2001. This was a special show that benefited for the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation. The show was in Pasadena, CA, and while there were a couple other regular shows scheduled for that weekend stop, the show seemed to be very popular, as ticket prices were roughly $100.[1]
- She can sim-com (when she speaks and signs at the same time), however, the viewers cannot hear her. In reality, Marlee Matlin can also sim-com and lipread, but the show only focuses her character using ASL to communicate.
