Recap

Josh has the sniffles. Blue's Clues is played to figure out what Blue thinks Josh needs to "feel better". Along the way, Josh and Blue get some tips to stay healthy. The first clue is the spoon. Josh draws the first clue, a spoon, in his notebook. This includes learning about healthy snacks with Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper with Cinnamon and Paprika. The second clue is the bowl. Josh draws the second clue, a bowl, in his notebook. The letter he receives from Mailbox is about a boy giving a get well card to Josh at the end. Josh and Blue skidoo into a story about how a girl named Jill played in the rain, became sick, and how she recovers from her cold. The third clue is vegetables. Josh draws the third clue, vegetables, in his notebook. Now that he has all 3 clues, Josh and Blue skidoo back home and sit in the thinking chair to figure out what Blue thinks Josh needs to "feel better". Now, that they were in the thinking chair, it was time to think. The clues are a spoon, a bowl, and vegetables. "What does Blue think I need to feel better?" Josh wonders. Josh thinks Blue wants him to do the Vegetable Dance with a spoon and a bowl, but that was the wrong answer. The correct answer is vegetable soup because Josh needs to eat it with a spoon and a bowl. They just figured out Blue's Clues. Josh and Blue both sit on the couch and eat vegetable soup with a spoon and a bowl. Now that Josh ate some vegetable soup, he sings the So Long Song and the episode ends.

Differences

  • Cinnamon appears in this episode. He wasn't in the original "Steve Gets the Sniffles" because he wasn't born until season four in the episode The Baby's Here!
  • Paprika and Cinnamon now join Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper in singing "Healthy Snacks" because they are older now.
  • Shovel and Pail don't appear in this episode, but they did in the original.
  • In the original, the second clue (a bowl) was revealed in the living room. In the reboot, it was revealed in the kitchen.
  • In the original, Steve tries to finish up the Mailtime song, but almost started to sneeze again by putting a tissue up to his nose before he sings the last mail, then says "Mail" calmly. In the reboot, when Josh tries to finish up the Mailtime song, he almost sneezed again by putting his elbow up to his face before singing the last "Mail", after this, he sings the last "Mail" normally like he usually does.
    • In the original, Blue howls the last "Mail" in a couple of seconds as Steve almost sneezes again. In the reboot, she did not howl the last "Mail" as Josh almost sneezes again. Also in the reboot, she barked after the Mailtime song was finished. In the original, she did not bark.
  • In the original, the video letter introduces a boy going to the doctor for a checkup. In the reboot, the video letter introduces a boy who made a get-well card for Josh.
  • In the original, Jill had fair skin, pink hair in long ponytails, a green dress with white flowers, pink cheeks, and pink shoes. In this version, Jill has dark skin, brown hair in two short ponytails, an orange dress with yellow flowers, red cheeks, pink tights, and blue and white sneakers.
  • In the original, Jill's bed had a red frame and a yellow and lime blanket. In this version, Jill's bed has a tan frame and a purple and white blanket.
  • In the original, Steve is seen skidooing back to the Blue's Clues House on his own while in this remake, Blue is seen skidooing back to the house right before Josh does.
  • In the original, Steve sang "We just figure out Blue's Clues" sitting in the thinking chair. But in this version, Josh sings it standing up like he usually does.
