Blue's School is the 20th episode of Blue's Clues from Season 4. It was originally planned to air on April 16, 2002. However, this and the next episode were aired on TV in the United States on August 1, 2006, as towards the end of the sixth season and it is currently unknown why they aired late.

Summary[]

Everyone is playing school in Storybook World as Teacher Blue has a lot in store for Steve, Periwinkle, and Tickety. Story time, art time, snack time, and even a field trip. Where is Blue's class headed? While playing a game of Blue's Clues to find out, they will read, paint a picture, practice the alphabet, and do lots of things that make school cool.

Trivia[]

  • Franklin Robinson, relative of popular friend of Steve, Michael Robinson, is one of Steve's Friends in this episode.
  • Steve telling The Viewer that he wants to go to college is a foreshadowing to Steve Goes to College, also meaning his age in this episode is that he is 18 years old, and he is finished with high school because that episode is when he moves to college for the first time in that episode so that Joe can take over for the rest of the show.
  • Steve sings the So Long Song in the pizza parlor.
    • In addition to this, the lyrics to the song were slightly different, the words "My dog, Blue" were changed to "Teacher Blue" in The So Long Song, because Blue is the teacher in this episode.
  • The book about the School Bus was featured as a pull out mini book in an issue of Nick Jr. Magazine.
  • In 2003 There was a Fisher Price toy called PowerTouch and they were books and there was one Blue’s Clues power touch book that had the same name from the episode
  • This episode likely takes place after the next episode as playing school was the answer to Blue's Clues in the mentioned episode. It is unknown why they were aired out of chronological order if this was the case.
  • There was no Blue Skidoo in this episode.
  • This episode may have been aired in Australia in late 2002 or early 2003.
  • Mr. Salt doesn't appear with Mrs. Pepper until the end credits.
  • The answers and clues were almost exactly the same as the 2nd segment of the Yellow Disc of Blue's Birthday Adventure: "What Does Blue Want To Eat At Her Party?". The only difference was the tomato was replaced with tomato "sauce" and was the 3rd and last clue instead of the 1st.
  • Book of Snack Time with Blue.
  • The monkey from Blue Wants to Play a Song Game appears in this episode.
  • The only place where song time happened was the pizza parlor, which was the answer to Blue's Clues.
  • In the letter, the girl said, "This is where we read our books." quietly to pretend that it's a library.
  • At the end of the letter, "Bye, Steve!" is said in the message, but it will happen again later in Magenta's Messages for Joe.
  • Teacher Blue and her friends were at the pizza parlor, which was the answer to Blue's Clues, just like Joe, which will happen again later in the online game, "Joe's Scrapbook Journey" on day number seven.
  • The answer to Blue's Clues is the same as the answer to gold clues in the online game, "Blue's Gold Clues Challenge" and Blue's Clues in part of the PC game, "Blue's Birthday Adventure" called "What Does Blue Want To Eat At Her Party?" and Blue's Clues in part of the Book, "Snack Time with Blue".

  • This is the same times Tickety Tock, Steve said that story time, we have art time, we have snack time, we have ABC Time which will happen and Blue's Clues in part of 2 PC games, "Blue's ABC Time Activities" and "Blue's Art Time Activities" and Blue's Clues in part of the episodes, "Blue's Story Time" and "Snack Time".

  • At the end of the episode, the similar thing happened in Barney's Adventure Bus, where Barney was the bus driver and he took Chip, Keesha, Kristen, Robert, BJ, and Baby Bop to the pizza parlor, just like Steve the bus driver who took Tickety, Periwinkle, and Blue in the episode, which was Chip's favorite place, after Robert and Kristen's favorite place, the castle, and before Keesha's favorite place, the wild west, which was before Baby Bop's favorite place, the circus.

  • Nick Balaban is credited as a friend of Steve despite voicing Mr. Salt in this episode.
  • Steve said that mail time was supposed to happen after ABC time, but in the episode, mail time happened before ABC time.
