Blue's Clues Characters

The following is a simple list of notable characters featured in the Blue's Clues series, its reboot Blue's Clues & You!, and its spin-off Blue's Room.

Overview.[]

The main characters are the residents of the Blue's Clues House. The homemakers and adult figures of the house are Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper, two French chefs who live in the kitchen. As shown in the special "Blue's First Holiday," Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper raised an adoptive family before having their own kids. Their adoptive family includes the human brothers Steve and Joe, siblings Shovel and Pail, best friends Tickety, Slippery, Mailbox and Sidetable Drawer. In the special, it is shown that young Steve wished for a puppy of his own, and Mailbox delivered a magic storybook about a blue puppy named Blue. The puppy jumped out of the storybook and became the newest member of the family. Later on, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper had their own kids: Paprika and Cinnamon.

The reboot series takes place a few years after the original show. Steve and Joe are both working their own jobs: Steve is a detective, and Joe is the owner of a present store. Their cousin Josh comes to take care of the house and becomes Blue's new owner. Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper also have a pair of newborn twins: Sage and Ginger.
