Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode in the reboot series that the Mailtime Segment happens after Blue's Clues was solved, or the sixth in the franchise:
  • This is the first episode since "ABC's with Blue", and the fifth overall, where Josh gets an email rather then a letter which confirms that some episodes will feature emails and others will feature letters.
  • This is the first episode where we play Blue and Magenta's Clues due to Magenta placing her paw print on top of Blue's.
    • This represents the original episode which aired on Double Double day.
  • This is the first episode where there's no skidoo segment in the reboot.
  • This is the first episode to feature a wrong answer that didn't happened in the original, and this was the first episode that featured a wrong answer that didn’t had a skidoo segment
  • This is the 2nd episode to end with "With Magenta", after "Playdate with Magenta".
  • This is the final episode to air in 2019, which also means that this is the final episode to premiere in the 2010s decade.
  • When Blue sang "We are gonna play, Blue's Clues!" and puts her blue pawprint up on, Magenta was surprised to that song, so she decided to do the same "We are gonna play, Blue's Clues" dance and song Blue did, except when Magenta sings it, she says "We are gonna play, Magenta's Clues", and puts her magenta pawprint on the screen too, followed by Blue's blue pawprint, making it a game called Blue and Magenta's Clues.
  • This is the first episode to feature a wrong answer that didn’t happen in the original episode.

Differences[]

  • The original episode had featured Magenta's owner, Miranda. However she doesn't appear in this episode. She will appear in Magenta's Thank You Day Surprise.
  • Blue and Magenta lick the screen when Josh greets the viewers. They did it again after Josh sings "We Just Figured Out Blue (and Magenta)'s Clues", and Blue does it again before the credits, making this a total of 5 times where the puppies licked the screen in the episode.
  • Only Blue put a pawprint onscreen in the original. In this episode, Magenta had her pawprint as well.
    • This game changed to "Blue and Magenta's Clues."
      • Even all the lyrics mentioning Blue's Clues added Magenta before the word "Clues"
      • This is the first time Magenta had a pawprint on clues in the whole franchise.
      • Magenta although mentioned the pawprint alongside Green Puppy's in "Blue's Big Musical".
    • This is the third character to have clues taken, after Blue and Joe.
      • Steve and Josh never put pawprints up at all.
  • In the original, Steve heard the viewer shout "A Clue!" which remind him that they're also looking for Blue's Clues. In the remake, Josh mistaken "A Clue" for "The View".
    • They both missed heard the first clue.
  • Unlike the original, Magenta didn't feel sad about wearing glasses.
    • Maybe it is because she got used to it in the original.
  • In its original counterpart, the question of Blue's Clues was " What should Magenta do after she gets her glasses?" In this episode. the question was "What is Magenta excited about when she gets her glasses?"
  • This is the first episode in the reboot in which Josh sings the song after he gets his notebook and tells the viewers he needs their help to figure out the answer to Blue's Clues at the end of the song, like Steve in Seasons 3-4 episodes of Blue's Clues and Joe in Season 5 episodes of Blue's Clues.
    • Except that Josh stands up after getting his notebook and starts the song instead of Steve and Joe start the song next to Sidetable Drawer.
  • Magenta joins in the "Play Blue's Clues" song with Blue and Josh.
  • In the reboot, Magenta's mailbox was inanimate. In the original, she was not inanimate.
  • When the pictures transition from a blurry image to a clear image, clicking transitions were used. In the original, a fading transition was used.
  • Dr. Eyeleen asking if the picnic blanket is near or far away from the table is omitted from the original.
  • Magenta puts her new glasses on her own in the reboot. In the original, Dr. Eyeleen puts it on for her.
  • In the original, Orange Kitten was playing at the playground. In the reboot, she was absent.
  • In the original, Blue leaves a clue on herself offscreen. In the reboot, she does it onscreen while playing with Magenta.
  • In the reboot, Josh sits in the Thinking Chair, since he is by himself. In the original, Steve and Miranda sit in the Thinking Couch, due to the lack of additional room for Miranda on the actual Thinking Chair.
  • In this episode, Josh's guess was that "What if Magenta wearing her glasses put a window on top of her house?". In the original, there was no wrong answer.
  • When Blue, Magenta, and Josh first walked out of their house, Mailbox wasn't seen.
  • In the thinking time segment, Blue and Magenta are their colors on their outlines. In the original, Blue and Magenta were their colors on their insides.
  • The original aired in Season 3, but the reboot aired in this season.
  • The reboot has an email, that features a greeting from a kid rather than a song unlike the original that did have a letter. In the original, the person in the letter didn’t say “Hi Steve!” Or “Bye Steve!” In the reboot the person in the email said “Hi Josh and Blue!” And “Bye Josh and Blue!”
  • In the original, Magenta and Miranda looked out the window and saw Blue and Steve. In the reboot, she was by herself.
  • When Dr. Eyeleen says bye to Blue, Magenta, and Josh, Josh says bye back. Steve walks away without saying bye back to Dr. Eyeleen.
  • The original had featured the song "Glasses." It is absent in the reboot.
  • In the original, Miranda and Steve sang the last lines of We Just Figured Out Blue's Clues in the style of For He's a Jolly Good Fellow. In the reboot, Josh sang it normally.
    • This was nicer, unlike the original.
    • Subsequently Josh doesn't say "Won't that be swell." In the original Steve says it.
