Trivia[]
- This is the first episode to be a remake of two different episodes: What Is Blue Afraid Of? and Blue's Big Mystery.
- This is the first episode where Periwinkle celebrated Halloween, but he has not celebrated Halloween with either of the three hosts because he was not introduced until Blue's Big Mystery and Our New Neighbor.
- Even though Periwinkle is introduced before Joe became the host of Blue's Clues, no Halloween-themed episodes were produced during Joe's tenure as host.
- Josh is dressed up as a werewolf in this episode, he is seen wearing a furrier version of wolf ears from "Story Time with Blue", wolf paw gloves and a wolf's tail. he also howls like a real wolf.
- Tickety wore her Clock Girl costume from Superfriends and The Thinking Squad (specifically the one from the remake).
- Slippery wore the same costume, an octopus, like in both Blue's Big Costume Party and Spooky Costume Party with Blue.
- Shovel and Pail wore the same costumes, a firefighter and a dragon respectively, as in "Blue Makes a Movie with You!".
- Sidetable Drawer's pirate hat is the same one she wore in Blue's Treasure Hunt.
- Paprika and Cinnamon wore the same costumes, an explorer and a lion respectively, as in "Blue's Anywhere Box Surprise".
- This is the sixth episode in the franchise where someone was a firefighter. The others being The Anything Box, Playdates, Blue's Big Imagination, Blue's Big Neighborhood Adventure, and Blue Makes a Movie with You!.
- This is the third episode in the franchise where Halloween was celebrated. The first two being Blue's Big Costume Party and Spooky Costume Party with Blue. This is also the first Halloween reboot episode that was based on a non-Halloween original episode.
- This is the only episode that everyone do not sing The So Long Song, the song is replaced with It's Time for Halloween at the end. this is a reference to the LazyTown Episode, Sportacus on the Move!.
- This is the second episode where eyes were seen. The first being Spring is Here!.
- This is the second episode in the franchise where paw prints were drawn. The first being Inventions.
- This is also the first time in which paw prints were the first clue because in Inventions, it was the third clue.
- This is the third episode in the franchise where a tail was drawn. The first two being Blue's Big Mystery and Animals in Our House?.
- This is also the second time in which a tail was the second clue with Blue's Big Mystery being the first. However, in Animals in Our House?, it was the first clue.
- This is the second episode in the franchise where the 2 triangles are a clue. The first being Imagine Nation.
- Coincidentally, this is also the second time in which 2 triangles were the third clue with Imagine Nation being the first.
- This marks the third episode in the franchise where Tickety Tock was dressed as a superhero. The first two being Superfriends and The Thinking Squad.
- This marks the third episode where someone said, "spooky". The first two being Blue's Big Costume Party and Spooky Costume Party with Blue when Steve and Josh both said, "spooky" when every time they opened their notebooks, there was a door creaking sound effect and an evil laughter sound effect in the background.
- The door opened up to show the next scroll. Like in Blue's Big Costume Party and Spooky Costume Party with Blue when Steve and Josh both opened the tallest door, went up the stairs with more steps and through the room with the small number of black tiles, which was omitted from the remake, (the black tile part), and got the next scroll to help Boo find Oogla Boogla.
- This is the first Season 3 episode in the reboot to not feature an incorrect answer to the Blue's Clues game.
- Josh showing us his Halloween notebook after he got it from Sidetable Drawer is similar to Happy Birthday Blue and It's Your Birthday! when Josh showed us his two Birthday notebooks.
- This marks the fourth episode in the franchise where someone said, "Boo" and made them jump in surprise. The others being What Is Blue Afraid Of?, Blue's Big Costume Party, and Spooky Costume Party with Blue when Steve and Josh mentioned Boo the Ghost’s name, and Boo got scared.
- In this episode, the viewers say "boo" instead of Josh saying "clue" in the "Play Blue's Clues" song.
- Josh said, "interesting" like he and Steve did in What Experiment Does Blue Want to Try? and Science with Blue when Steve and Josh found the third clue on two plastic bottles.
- This marks the twelfth episode in the franchise when something was drawn in groups of four. The others being What Is Blue Afraid Of?, when Steve drew four circles when he drew the owl's sound, Blue's ABCs and ABC's with Blue when Steve and Josh drew the word, "jump,", Blue's Big Holiday when Steve drew four little prints, Words when Steve drew the words, "make," and, "poem", which have four letters, Patience when Joe drew four pieces of wood, Contraptions! when Joe drew four seeds, Blue's Big Band when Joe drew four beans, Playdates when Joe drew water, and Bluestock (Original/Remake) when Joe and Josh had the first clue with four music notes.
- This marks the thirty-fourth episode in the franchise where a clue representing two of the same object was drawn. The others being What Does Blue Want to Make?, What Experiment Does Blue Want to Try?, Science with Blue, Math!, 123's with Blue, What Does Blue Want to Do on a Rainy Day?, Blue's Rainy Day Rainbow, The Lost Episode!, Animal Behavior!, Blue's Big Mystery, Periwinkle Misses His Friend, Imagine Nation, Blue's Big Imagination, The Anything Box, Adventure, Superfriends, The Thinking Squad, Blue's New Place, Bugs!, Something To Do Blue, Joe's First Day, The Scavenger Hunt, Story Wall, Blue Takes You to School, Blue's Show and Tell Surprise, Look Carefully..., Soccer Practice, Blue's Night Before Christmas, Blue's Big Dance Party, What I Like About Blue, Spring is Here!, Blue's Beach Bonanza, It's Your Birthday!, and Our New Neighbor.

- This is the twenty-third time where there were riddles and rhymes that were used and rhymed. The others being in Blue Wants to Play a Game, Tickety's Favorite Nursery Rhyme, Blue's News, What Does Blue Want to Build?, Blue's Big Treasure Hunt, Blue's Big Costume Party, Blue's Big Pajama Party, Adventure, Rhyme Time, Bedtime Business, Big News with Blue, Pajama Party with Blue, Spooky Costume Party with Blue, Joe's Clues, Skidoo Adventure, The Legend of the Blue Puppy, Blue's Treasure Hunt, Blue's Night Before Christmas, What I Like About Blue, and It's Your Birthday!.
- This is the second time that Periwinkle was the answer to Blue's Clues, the first was Blue's Big Mystery when Blue left three clues on footprints, a curvy, skinny tail and a picture.
- Josh howls like a wolf at the end of the "Mailtime" song instead of shouting "Mail!". Similarly, Mailbox, as a cow, replaces "Mail" with "Moo" and Josh calls him "Cow box", similar to how Steve called Mailbox as a monkey "Monkey box" in "Animal Behavior!".
- This is the third time when someone called Mailbox a different name. The first two being Animal Behavior when Steve called Mailbox Monkey Box and Blocks when Steve called Mailbox Mail Blocks.
- This is the fourth time in the reboot to not feature The So Long Song, the first three were "Blue's Night Before Christmas", "Blue's Show and Tell Surprise" and "It's Your Birthday!".
- This episode ends with the song "It's Time for Halloween" instead.
- Coincidentally, all of these episodes have a different song at the end, pertaining to the episode.
- This is the third time where a unicorn was seen. The first two being Blue's Show and Tell Surprise when Blue made Luna the Unicorn and Blue's Big Costume Parade when the Pawprint was dressed as a unicorn despite that episode being part of season two but not airing until October 29, 2021.
- This is the fourth episode where opposites were used. The first three being Magenta Comes Over and Playdate with Magenta when Steve, Josh and Blue helped Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper make race cars that were opposite and The Wrong Shirt when Steve and Blue learned about different opposites besides Blue’s favorite opposite being On and Off when Blue left three clues on an Up Light Switch, a Lamp, and a Down Light Switch.
- Shovel and Pail wanting the opposite of Biggest and Smallest is similar to what happened in Magenta Comes Over and Playdate with Magenta when Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper wanted the same thing.
- In those episodes, Mr. Salt wanted the biggest circles and Mrs. Pepper wanted the smallest circles.
- Happy and sad were seen again like in Tickety's Favorite Nursery Rhyme when Steve helped Jack, Joe, John, and Julia with riddles, in which the second riddle was "When you’re happy, you smile. When you’re sad you frown."
- This is the second episode where Josh said “I don’t got it!” when trying to help someone. The first was Blue's Big Beat Band when Josh said “I don’t got this!” when he was playing a clapping game with Felicia and when he and Blue helped Bunny Jo get to a concert with his band.
- This marks the seventeenth episode in the franchise where any type of shape was drawn. The others being Mechanics!, Imagine Nation, Blue's Big Imagination, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper Day, Let's Plant, Blue's School, Blue Takes You to School, Blue's Show and Tell Surprise, Blue's First Holiday, Soccer Practice, Meet Blue's Baby Brother, Blue's Big Beat Band, Blue's Treasure Hunt, Welcome to Blue's Bistro, Blue's Big Baking Show, and Blue's Anywhere Box Surprise.
- This is the fourth episode to be written by the original host of Blue's Clues. The first three were Welcome to Blue's Bistro, Blue's Night Before Christmas, and Blue's Beach Bonanza.
- This is also the first episode in which the original host wrote an episode of Blue's Clues & You! without directing it because he directed Welcome to Blue's Bistro, Blue's Night Before Christmas, and Blue's Beach Bonanza besides writing them.
- Periwinkle as the ghost skidooed to Haunted House. This is the third time Periwinkle skidooed. The first two times were Periwinkle Misses His Friend and The Big Book About Us.
- At the end of the Mailtime song, Josh howls like a werewolf instead of saying "Mail!", which is similar to Joe saying "Goal!" instead of "Mail!" at the end of the Mailtime song in Soccer Practice.
- However, unlike Josh, Joe corrects himself by saying "I mean... Mail!".
