Blue Skidoo

Blue Skidoo, otherwise known as Skidooing, is a common action used by Blue, Steve, Joe, Josh and other characters to enter another world. Trivia In the episode "Periwinkle Misses His Friend", Periwinkle joined Steve and Blue in the model city he built after Blue skidooed into it. Shovel skidooed with Steve and Blue into a beach book in the episode "Blue's Collection" to help find things for Shovel's collection. In the episode "Café Blue", Mr. Salt joined Steve and Blue when they skidooed into the picture of the grocery store to get the ingredients needed for the spaghetti sauce. Tickety Tock skidooed with Joe and Blue in a numbers book from "Numbers Everywhere!" In the episode, The Scavenger Hunt, Magenta skidooed with Joe and Blue into the felt board as they continue their scavenger hunt quest. The skidoo is similar to the 1964 film Mary Poppins. The skidoo is also similar to jumping into the picture sequence from the Disney preschool show, Out of the Box. The melody Steve sings the song to is taken from Thelonious Monk's "Rhythm-A-Ning".
