This music plays at the end of every episode of Blue's Clues. It mainly consists of bass and clapping. The music from each episode is usually played alongside another tune from that episode. In the show's first five seasons (with a few exceptions), it played to the tune of the opening music from the first 4 seasons. In season 6, it was the tune of The Goodbye Song.
Concept of the characters
During the credits, Blue pops in, out doing four random actions, at the very end was seen chasing her ball before the book closed.
She originally appeared by herself in the first episodes of Season 1, but starting in "Steve Gets the Sniffles", Tickety Tock, Mr. Salt, and Mrs. Pepper started appearing with her as well, and the last two actions of Blue's animation were cut (although they came back in early season three).
From home video releases between 1998-2001 (which featured special combined credits for each tape program, rather than using the TV credits for each individual episode), the credits only featured Blue, Tickety Tock, Mr. Salt, and Mrs. Pepper, just like season 2 and early to mid season 3.
There are differences in the ball, Blue, and the book closing for the Steve version vs. the Joe version. In seasons 1-4, the ball bounces 3 times without rotating. When Blue catches up, she winks at the viewers, and as she throws the ball and runs away, the book closes.
In the Season 5 version, the ball rotates and Blue blinks twice and then barks, saying "Bye!". It then zooms out and when the ball gets thrown away, the book closes in the same direction from seasons 1-4, leaving magic sparkles. The sound of the sparkles mutes out in the UK. The book is on the ground right by a little snail plush to the right of it. However, it is unknown how the book gets put back for the next episode. Blue opens it in the beginning, but Blue is still in the book when it closes. It's unknown how Blue got out of the book for the next theme song after it closed. However, the book opens by itself in the Steve version.
In Season 6, the ball and Blue still come in and Blue does the same thing from Season 5, but after she barks, a different version of the closing Blue's Clues book appeared and closed up before Blue even disappeared (unlike the closing Blue's Clues book from Season 5). Plus, the book closed in the opposite direction, with sparkles coming out on that side.
Usually, the credits are in a white background with blue letters. However, there are three exceptions.
In Blue's Big Pajama Party, the credits are in a black, starry background with yellow letters. The moon appears four times and after the credits, Blue and her ball don't appear, Blue doesn't wink at us or kick and ball and go until the book closes, instead, it gets to the back of the book and it closes.
In Blue's Big Musical, it is the only time the book closes before the credits. The credits are on cardboard in front of red curtains. The letters in different colors the change from page to page.
In 100th Episode Celebration, the credits are in a red background with the letters in blue and yellow. After the credits finish, the curtains close, followed by the Nick Jr. Productions logo. All character animations are absent in this one, even Blue at the very end.
Season 1 had dark blue letters for both the occupations and the people's names, and in Season 2 onwards, the occupations were in light blue, while the people's names were still in dark blue.
Regardless of what episode was on, the last part of the ending sequence for "Our Neighborhood Festival" played all the way up to the Nick Jr. Productions logo (replaced by the Nickelodeon Productions logo when the network was rebranded in 2009) at the end of each Blue's Clues split screen credits on Nick Jr. from 2005-2010.
Steve and Joe are the only ones that never appear in the end credits.
