Summary
Today is Blue's birthday, but we've shown up a little early, so we help to set things up. As we get things set up, we notice things that are out of place or missing and help to make things right. We also play party games and help Steve look for presents in a special skiddoo segment. Many guests come and we watch Blue unwrap presents and also receive some "celebrity" greetings.
Trivia
- Rosie O'Donell birthday wish to Blue in the Mailtime segement was cut from the VHS release of the episode.
- "Blue's Birthday" is available on the video of the same name. This video contains bonus segements that can not be seen on television. The episode is also available on the DVD "Blue's Biggest Stories."
- Close-captioning for Blue's barking throughout the episode read things like "bowwow," which isn't normal practice. Normally, it just says "(Blue barking)" or something to that effect.
- Assuming that the candles on Blue's cake mean anything, she is eight years old.
- This episode introduces Blue's pet turtle, Turquoise, who will appear in many future episodes.
- This is the first time the program has featured celebrity guests, but they will appear many times in the future, either as themselves, or as character voices.
- Instead as a normal credit sequence, the credits are shown in a birthday banner at the end of the episode as the "So Long Song" is being sung. Gloria Estefan, Tian & Tamyra Howry, Michelle Trachtenberg, Amanda Bynes, and Rosie O'Donell all recieve a "Special Thanks" credit for their appearences in the Mailtime segement. Angela Santomero is credited as Angela C. Santomero.

- Mailtime Segement - Mailbox pops in just in time for Musical Chairs, his favorite party game. More importantly, though, he has a special birthday card for Blue. In the card, Gloria Estefan performs a special birthday song for Blue and Blue also recieves birthday wishes from several celeberties.
