Facts[]

  • This VHS, Blue's Big News Volume 1: Read All About It! and Blue's Big News Volume 2: The Baby's Here! are made in an usual episode compilation release compared to other home media releases, they are heavily presented more in a straight-to-video episode compilation going by the credit shown right before the last credit from the episodes themselves, that a Nickelodeon Home Video Production crew made these videos in this form.
    • They are also the first VHS tapes to originally released be released with a black VHS tape, have the same opening previews, and reuse the credit sequence's music for Playtime with Periwinkle, as used from "Blue's Big Mystery", for the credit sequence of the videos.
  • Like Café Blue, the SpongeBob SquarePants VHS and DVD trailer was originally planned to appear, but wasn't shown until Reading with Blue in 2002.
  • Both of these episodes from this VHS release were also included as a bonus on the DVD release of Blue's First Holiday.
  • This is the fifth and final Blue's Clues VHS tape to use the Nickelodeon 3D Bone logo with the animated version. It was also used on all Little Bill VHS tapes, including future ones, but the logo is still. It also appeared on several Dora the Explorer VHS tapes, but the logo is still.
  • This is the third video to have both episodes from the third and first seasons. The first was Blue's Big Treasure Hunt, the second was Café Blue.
  • Starting with this VHS, Instead of having the Nick Jr. "Kids" outro after episode 2 and before the end credits, the end credits start after episode 2 and before the Nick Jr. "Kids" outro, the Nick Jr. Nickelodeon, and Paramount logos.
  • The Face Opens for Blue segment was previously seen on the 1998 VHS of Blue's Clues: Story Time and the 2000 VHS of Blue's Clues: Blue's Safari, it would be shown one more time on the 2003 VHS release of Blue's Clues: 100th Episode Celebration.
  • The Face Loves Snow segment was previously seen on the 1996 VHS of Allegra's Window: Allegra's Christmas, 1997 VHS of Little Bear: "Winter Tales", it would later be seen on the 2002 VHS of Little Bill: "Merry Christmas, Little Bill".
  • Just like in Blue's Big Treasure Hunt and Cafe Blue, this VHS contains two episodes from the third and first seasons, but one involves Holidays and the other involves Snowy Days.
  • Just like in Cafe Blue, the two Paramount bumpers in this VHS are again "Coming to Theaters" and "Now Available on Videocassette".
  • The previews from this VHS are the same previews as Blue's Clues: Café Blue, Blue's Big News Volume 1: Read All About It!, Blue's Big News Volume 2: The Baby's Here!, Little Bear: Let's Play a Game, Little Bill: What I Did at School, and Dora the Explorer: To The Rescue 2001 VHS
  • This is the last Blue's Clues tape to have a 3D Nickelodeon logo at the end. It is also one of the last Nick Jr. VHS's in general to have a 3D Nickelodeon logo. All of the Nick Jr VHS tapes coming from around this point forward will have the Nickelodeon 2D Haypile logo. But the 1999 Nick Jr. Productions Claymation logo and the Nick Jr Animals logo is still kept on every Nick Jr. VHS starting with Reading With Blue.
  • This is the last video to have episodes from a previous home media release, in which the credit sequence for the entire VHS is shown. The next two that does this will have the TV version of the closing credits for each episode are shown individually.
